Meet Christina L. Powers DDS And Her Team

Dr. Powers is a native of Moore County, and attended Highfalls Elementary and North Moore High School. She received a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Bachelor of Arts in Exercise and Sports Science from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Prior to attending dental school, Dr. Powers taught middle school science and math in Chapel Hill, and worked as a research assistant for the Department of Genetics at UNC-CH.

Dr. Powers received her dental degree with honors from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Dentistry, and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society. While in dental school, Dr. Powers was a member of the teaching committee, and the outcomes committee. She married fellow classmate, Dr. Nathan Hifko.

Following dental school, Dr. Powers completed a two-year pediatric dental residency at the University of Kentucky in Lexington. Dr. Powers is proud to be a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, she is also a member of the American Dental Association, North Carolina Dental Society, and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Powers serves as Adjunct Faculty for UNC-School of Dentistry and as consult staff for Moore Regional Hospital. She holds a certification in Basic and Pediatric Advanced Life Support.

Dr. Powers enjoys spending time with her husband Nathan and her two children, Harper and Hudson, UNC athletics, crafts and sewing.

Zev Orentlikher, DDS - Board Certified Pedodontist-Diplomate

Dr. Orentlikher is a Board-Certified Pediatric Dentistry Specialist/Pedodontist who is proficient in providing comprehensive therapeutic oral health care for infants and children through adolescence, including those with special healthcare needs.

Dr. Orentlikher grew up in Israel and served in the Israeli Army. After service he moved to New York city to pursue his education at the State University of New York at Purchase College. He graduated with summa cum laude honors earning a degree of Bachelor of Science (BSc) with concentration in Biology and Pre-medical Sciences. He was accepted into the top dental school in New York state, the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine and graduated with cum laude honors. It was during his fourth year in dental school when he developed his passion towards serving the pediatric population and their families while volunteering in free clinics and going on mission trips.

Following graduation, Dr. Orentlikher completed a residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) at the Eastman Institute of Oral Health-Strong Memorial Hospital University of Rochester NY. Dr. Orentlikher was granted a position in a pediatric dental specialty hospital program in New York City at Maimonides Medical Center, the sole Level 1 trauma facility of pediatric care in Brooklyn.

After many harsh winters, he decided to relocate to a sunnier climate, settling in Pinehurst, North Carolina with his family. He describes himself as a “typical dad” who enjoys the company of his wife and two children. Parents and children know him as a go-to compassionate pediatric dentist who treats anyone in his chair like family. Online reviews recognize him as “the best pediatric dentist we have found for our children”, and as a provider who takes time to reassure children, answer any parental questions, all while maintaining an honest and comforting approach from the moment your visit begins.
